Garden water features bring a certain tranquillity to your garden that is hard to match. Your outdoor space should be your little haven away from the hustle and bustle of modern living - garden water features can make that haven of yours heavenly! It could be the sound of the water running and trickling that sends you into a deep state of relaxation; it could also be the sight of the clear water cascading that pleases you; or it could be the fact that you have a beautiful ornament nestled on your lawn that acts as a centrepiece for the rest of your garden.

We stock some of most ornate and striking garden water features you're likely to find around. We have quite modern looking water features that come in bold shapes and have granite-like finishes. Some of these garden water features also incorporate lights for a spectacle that looks even better when the sun goes down. We also have more traditional looking features that use wood and have a certain rustic charm. A lot of the more traditional features are styled to look like aged barrels and Victorian water pumps, so we really do have something for all preferences.

Our range of garden water features covers the ultra-trendy and the traditional, but we also sell some alternative options as well. We have a Japanese styled Zurich style water feature that would bring some far-eastern character to the most British of gardens. We also stock an Istanbul water feature that is certainly imposing, and looks like it has been lifted straight from an ancient temple or monastery.

Such a selection of garden water features surely covers all tastes and interests, and one common thing all our water features share is the impact they will have on your garden.

Everybody from children to the elderly finds water features alluring - perhaps it stems from the fact that water is our very life-force, and so we associate with it very positively. Whatever the reason, one of these handsome ornaments could be gracing your garden this summer - now there's an idea to whet your appetite.

This Copenhagen Oil Lamp is a fine example of one of our free standing oil lamps. It looks very majestic in this image, and while the scenic background adds something, oil lamps look this good in pretty much any outdoor space.

Just imagine having a few oil lamps placed around your table on a summer's evening. As the sun begins to set, the light and warmth does not disappear but takes a different form instead. With oil lamps in this effortlessly elegant stainless steel design, you won't be missing the sun anytime soon that's for sure. The design of this lamp is extremely functional, but it doesn't compromise on style either - this results in an outdoor lighting and heating solution which is also a work of art.

Take a look around our oil lamps section; we're sure there'll be at least one lamp you can picture in your garden.

When you think of picnic benches you probably conjure up images of idyllic woodland retreats - just imagine if that retreat was your garden. With our picnic benches, you can make that possibility a reality! We have a quality range of outdoor picnic benches that could help bring the magic of the park to the comfort of your home.

This Woburn Picnic Table would make a fabulous addition to any garden. Not only is it a handsome and natural-looking piece of furniture, but you are getting so much more than just seating. Through the purchase of one of our fine picnic benches, you are getting access to the wonderful world of picnicking. You may think we are just talking about eating food outside here, but it is how you do so that makes the difference, and makes it special.

Picnic benches mean that everyone is grouped together in a close-knit, cosy, and intimate way - think of it as the woodland equivalent of your dining table. There is something exceedingly charming about picnic benches as opposed to plastic or metal types of outdoor seating. The way in which the chairs and table space are all incorporated together means picnic benches provide a space-saving solution as well. The most exciting aspect of picnic benches is definitely that woodland-park ambience you get, and all in the privacy of your own garden.

Picnic benches are comfortable, space-saving, attractive, and rustic; but it's the key to a world of picnicking that'll really make you want to sit down.

The great British summer is here, and it's so far so good - the weather really has been encouraging! You're sure to be spending a lot more time in the garden now that it's warm and sunny, so you'll probably need some activities to keep you amused! We've compiled a short selection of different ways to spend your summertime wisely:

Bug Hunt

This is mainly an activity for children, but there's no reason why all can't get involved. Simply give everyone an insect viewing jar (or, failing that, an empty jam jar) and let them explore the garden. The aim of the activity is to rummage and rustle through every nook and cranny in order to find the best mini-beast or insect. Now this may not be up everybody's street, but it is a great way to discover everything your garden has to offer - and, along the way, both children and adults can gain a deeper insight into the insect world!

Get Wet!

Again, this is mostly for kids, but you'd have to be very grown-up indeed to not enjoy some good old-fashioned water play. You could fill up a paddling pool - this is great for cooling down on the hotter days, and even if there aren't any children about, you can still soak your feet for a little while. Alternatively, why not get the hose pipe going to do some watering...and then have a little water fight? Tempers may flare, but on a really nice day everyone and everything dries so quickly that nobody will be too bothered. And we don't need to tell those of you lucky enough to have pools or hot tubs that this is the best season to get some use of out of them!

Plant A Herb Garden

It doesn't necessarily have to be a herb garden, but it's a good time to plant herbs, and the rewards are good enough to eat! Select your favourite herbs to grow, so that way you have an ample stash when you need them.  This is yet another activity in which you can get younger ones involved. In fact, you can get anyone involved, especially those who are afraid of all things green - you can build up an understanding of where food comes from, and this will only help people expand their foodie-horizons. Herbs also grow best with full sun light, so now is a great time to start growing them.

Barbecue/Picnic

This is an obvious one! We Brits get so few chances to dine al fresco that we need to grasp them with both hands when they do come along. A barbecue or picnic is the best way to do so; which one you opt for just depends on whether or not you feel like cooking outside. Eating together is an important family activity that it's easy to take for granted. Make the most of your garden and turn it into a dining room with a view for the day!
